Distilled in Campbeltown in November 2002 it was bottled in October 2020 at the full grade of 47.8.

Whiskey Springbank 17 Y.O. Madeira Wood limited edition ages for a good fifteen years in oak barrels previously used for Madeira fortified wine, sweet scented wines.

The aging in ex Madeira cask completes this full grade Springbank whiskey, indeed it gives it an unparalleled elegance.

This Springbank 17 Y.O. Madeira Wood limited edition expresses vibrant notes of caramel, butter, molasses and fruit jam.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Dark liquid gold.

Aroma: The nose is very pleasant with sweet notes of red fruit, cherries, grapes and pineapple followed by caramel, ginger and a hint of peat.

Taste: The sweetness of the nose is transferred to the palate where we find notes of brown sugar, toffee, pineapple and custard with citrus and mineral peat.

Final: Long with notes of beeswax, spiced oak, banana flambé and caramel with hints of earthy peat and toasted nuts.
