New 2021 in the Highland Park Whiskey cask strength Release No. 1 range, an interesting limited edition.
There has never been a single malt Highland Park with such a high alcohol content and the distinctive DNA of the Orkney distillery.
A superb full grade lightly peaty whiskey from the Highland Park distillery.
For the Highland Park Whiskey Cask Strength Release distillery has a triple meaning: the innovative method of aging, the full grade alcohol content and the decoration of the bottle.
The Highland Park is the northernmost distillery in Scotland in the wild Orkney Islands and offers a product of absolute quality.
Highland Park Whiskey cask strength Release is a novelty with aging mainly in ex sherry barrels and in American oak barrels.
The result of this particular aging method is a rich and full-bodied single malt whiskey with a distinctly different character, the DNA of the Highland Park distillery.
Produced with an undeclared aging in only 124 barrels, and in a few bottles, Highland Park Whiskey cask strength Release is a refined limited edition.
Tasting Notes:
Color: Amber gold.
Aromas: The sherry influence is strong on the nose, with notes of brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins and mineral peat with hints of salted butter and toasted hazelnuts.
Taste: On the palate it is decidedly spicy, light pepper and nutmeg, citrus, oak and honey with hints of caramel, a delight
Final: Of good persistence, warm, with notes of caramel, orange, honey, cinnamon and ginger with hints of black pepper, toasted hazelnuts and subtle smoke.
Highland Park Whiskey cask strength Release is a whiskey to be combined with a good Solani blend 993 pipe tobacco and a Mastro Geppetto pipe.
