The Eigashima White Oak Distillery is perhaps the least known of Japan's whiskey producers.
The White Oak Distillery has a legitimate claim to be Japan's oldest distillery, with a license to make whiskey granted in 1919, a full four years before the Yamazaki Distillery was built.
The distillery was founded by Eigashima Shuzo in 1888 for the production of sake.
The eigashima White Oak distillery is located in the city of Akashi in Hyogo Prefecture, west of Kobe, facing the Seto Inland Sea.
Eigashima Shuzo obtained a license to produce whiskey in 1919, but it was when the company moved from the old facilities to its current facilities in 1984 that the White Oak Distillery brand was born.
Whiskey Akashi Meisei Japanese blended is distilled with malt and wheat ... or rather it is a blend of malt and wheat whiskey.

Tasting Note:
Color: The color is dark honey
Aromas: intense and enveloping of white flowers and candied red fruit.
Flavor: Honey and molasses syrup on crumbly biscuits, maple syrup, pear, pasta, nutmeg and ginger.
Finish: well spicy, but also creamy, with good length.
General comment: Really great for the age, to pair with a Cohiba siglo uno.
