Gin Bimber Kumquat is the latest, sophisticated distillate born of the young English distillery, it is the second release of gin from the Bimber distillery.
You have already read that English and non-Scottish distillery, it is in fact a start-up founded by enthusiasts of Polish origins, whose link with whiskey dates back to three generations before when the grandfather of the master distiller produced his own distillate, called Moonshine which in Polish, it is translated with Bimber.
The passion was then handed down to Darius Plazewski from a young age, and blossomed in 2015 when he, together with Ewelina, founded the distillery in London after immigrating there in 2003.
Gin Bimber Kumquat is a full-bodied, intensely aromatic, citrusy, floral gin.
This gin is made with the use of a small citrus Kumquat which we also call Chinese Mandarin.
The gin is expertly handcrafted in London's Bimber Distillery.
Kumquat is a small, rare and strongly scented citrus fruit with a mineral, citrus, floral and intense flavor profile, known for its beneficial and detoxifying properties.
To produce Gin Bimber Kumquat, in the malt distillate, botanicals of juniper, kumquat, coriander, lemon, orange, angelica and grapefruit are infused.
All these notes are found in a gin bottled at a full alcohol content of 47%, to maintain the full intensity of the flavors.
