Rum Papalin is one of Luca Gargano's first creautures, marketed in 2013 only in the best places specialized in the Spirit of the Caribbean and is now presented in a new composition.
This is the new Papalin Jamaica 7 years of aging version with 47 degrees of alcohol.
The Papalin 2021 aged seven years is a blended rum from the most important Jamaican distilleries with 100% pot still distillation.
The native molasses has been fermented for a long time and subsequently distilled, resulting in a fresh and crunchy rum.
This Pot Still rum comes from a blend of Worthy Park (80%), Hampden HCLF aged in ex-bourbon barrels (10%) and Hampden HCLF aged in ex-sherry barrels (10%).
The rums selected by Luca Gragano were mixed in cask and subsequently the casks were aged for 7 years under the tropical sun
It is a Blended or Vatted of different types of Rum assembled according to the old traditional system, which gave us a limited edition of a few thousand bottles.
Papalin rum is perfect for heavy rums novices as it is very pleasant to drink, Papalin is certainly interesting for experts because of its great balance and good personality.
We probably don't have a sample of complexity in front of us but Papalin remains an excellent Rum with a fantastic quality-price ratio.
Papalin in the 47 degree version is a classic rum, well made, soft, creamy and vanilla that is drunk as a pleasure.
Interesting and very expressive the spicy component, mentholated mixed with some mineral notes that give it a good evolution.
