Grhum: Grappa from Trentino Aged in Jamaican Rum Barrels
Grhum is an innovative idea by Max Righi of Silver Seal, which combines the excellence of Trentino grappa with 5 years of aging in ex-Jamaican rum barrels.
The grappa comes from selected Muller Thurgau pomace from the Villa de Varda micro distillery.
This combination leads to the creation of a fragrant and ethereal grappa, perfect for every palate.
The Aging Process
The grappa selected to become Grhum is initially left to rest for 24 months in new oak barrels.
This first refinement expertly balances the characteristics of Muller Thurgau, creating a solid and harmonious base.
Subsequently, the grappa is transferred to a barrel that has contained the prized Jamaican rum, carefully selected by Silver Seal.
Characteristics of Jamaican Rum
Silver Seal's Jamaican rum is high-proof, extremely full-bodied and fragrant, with an explosion of hints of caramel, vanilla, spices and balsamic notes.
The aging in ex-Jamaica rum barrels lasts for 5 years, enriching the Grhum with soft hints of molasses, vanilla and Caribbean spice aromas.
A Masterpiece to Appreciate
Silver Seal's Grhum grappa is always well-balanced in the mouth, never sugary or disjointed.
It is a true masterpiece that surprises and delights, perfect for lovers of high-quality spirits.
