Grhisky: Trentino Grappa Aged in Speyside Whisky Barrels
Grhisky is an innovative idea by Max Righi of Silver Seal, which combines the excellence of Trentino grappa with a 5-year aging in barrels previously used for Speyside whisky.
In particular, a barrel of Imperial Scotch whisky is used, giving this grappa a unique character.
The Origin of the Name
The name Grhisky is the result of a brilliant play on words, combining the initials GR of "grappa" and the suffix Hisky that recalls whisky, creating a perfect marriage between two distilled worlds.
The Grappa of the Villa de Varda Distillery
This exquisite grappa comes from the selected Chardonnay pomace of the Villa de Varda micro distillery, located in the heart of Trentino.
Thanks to these pomace, Grhisky is a fragrant and ethereal grappa.
To become Grhisky, the selected grappa is initially left to rest for 24 months in new oak barrels, expertly balancing the characteristics of Chardonnay.
Aging in Whisky Barrels
Then, the grappa is transferred to a barrel that has contained the excellent Speyside Imperial Scotch whisky, carefully chosen by Silver Seal.
This whisky is known for its smoothness and silkiness, thanks to the use of ex-sherry barrels for aging.
The aging in ex-Speyside Imperial Scotch whisky barrels for 5 years enriches the Grhisky with soft hints of molasses, vanilla and Caribbean spice aromas, giving a complex and fascinating aromatic profile.
A Masterpiece to Discover
Silver Seal's Grhisky grappa stands out for its perfect balance in the mouth, offering a sensory experience that will surprise every enthusiast.
It is a true masterpiece that combines tradition and innovation in a single glass.
