Grhisky is a brilliant idea of Max Righi of Silver Seal, to take some excellent Trentino grappa and refine it for 5 years in barrels that previously contained Speyside whiskey.
To be precise, an Imperial Scotch whiskey cask is used.
The name of this grappa Grhisky comes from the union of the initials GR of grappa and Hisky the ending of Whiskey, a great marriage!
The very good grappa of the micro distillery Villa de Varda comes from selected Chardonnay pomace.
A fragrant and ethereal grappa is born from the pomace of Chardonnay from Trentino.
The grappa selected to become Silver Seal's Grhisky grappa is left to rest for 24 months in new oak barrels.
This first aging in oak barrels balances the Chardonnay grappa from the Villa de Varda distillery.
The grappa is then transferred to a barrel that previously contained the excellent imperial scotch whiskey from speyside selected by Silver Seal.
Speyside imperial whiskey is very particular, soft and silky because the barrels used for aging are usually ex sherry barrels.
The aging of the Grhiskey grappa in ex speyside Imperial Scotch whiskey barrels lasts for 5 years.
This aging enriches the Grhisky speyside cask grappa with the soft hints of molasses, vanilla, scents of Caribbean spices.
The Grhisky grappa of Silver Seal is always well balanced in the mouth, a true masterpiece will amaze you!
