Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch # 5 is the fifth release of a heavily peated single malt by Glengyle, for this release with no age definition, the distillery has reached a peat level of around 80ppm!

A peat level of around 80ppm is only achieved by Octomore!

Highly peaty!

This whiskey has been aged, as per previous releases, in a mix of casks divided into 55% ex-bourbon and 45% ex-sherry casks

Attention Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch # 5 is bottled at full strength without being cold filtered and without the addition of dyes, a strength for experts!

A very rare and at the same time very good edition of Kilkerran.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Liquid gold ..

Aroma: Peat smoke welcomes us to the nose with notes of sea salt and brine, followed by hints of honey and notes of orange peel, cooked apple and salted caramel.

Taste: Slightly spicy and decidedly lively on the palate, the peat smoke is definitely present with notes of dried fruit, citrus fruits, wax, olives and a light metallic touch.

Final: Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch # 5 has excellent persistence with notes of embers, dried fruit, tropical fruit such as mango and banana with hints of toast and brine.
