  • Mr Peat is a highly peated whiskey that embodies all the character of the Scottish Isles.
  • Hints of peat accompanied by brackish aromas give a complex sip.
  • Great whiskey, but best to keep the fire extinguisher close!

The latest version of highly peated MR Peat whiskey, an undeclared vintage bottled in 2021 to amaze fans of highly peaty Isles whiskey.

The distillery from which Mr Peat is drawn is part of the mythological Islay distilleries.

Mr Peat whiskey is a single malt scotch whiskey that embodies the spirit and charm of the Scottish landscape of land and sea: peat smoke and marine amber on the nose, and then an intriguing and complex intertwining of citrus, savory and honeyed notes. palate.

Mr Peat is authentic: peaty, unfiltered cold, natural color, bottled at 46%.

Mr Peat is Scottish to the core: he is straightforward, he says things as they are, he is pale, relaxed and exudes authority.

But you have to be careful: the brutal force of the peat is ready to strike, and therefore ... it is better to keep the fire extinguisher close!

Fortunately, the independent bottlers, drawing from their stocks of highly peated whiskeys, can make us taste with such strength that they can incinerate the more noble Adbergs or Octomores.

Tasting Notes:

Aroma: Immediately intense hints of peat smoke that creep in. Something vegetable, saline and woody like a slowly going out bonfire on a beach.

Palate: The mouth takes us into a Mediterranean landscape next to the pool with a plate of Parma ham, a fresh carpaccio with a drizzle of freshly picked lemon. Beware of the barbecue that is smoking strong ...

Final: Rich and mellow. Marked by a sweet toasted barley and an aftertaste of ash.

You can combine Mr. Peat single malt whiskey with aromatic and fragrant cigars like the new Davidoff Escurio or a wonderful pipe tobacco like the Robert Mc Connell Glen Piper with its notes of rum and chocolate.
