The first edition of the Lochlea distillery whiskey has finally arrived.

Lochlea is a Scottish farmhouse outside Kilmarnock, a new Scottish micro distillery opened a few years ago, with a capacity of just 200,000 liters per year.

This Single malt whiskey, the first official release, was finally bottled, under the supervision of the former director of the Laphroaig distillery John Campbell, and the result of the still distillation of only barley grown directly in the fields of Lochlea Farm.

Lochlea first Release is a single malt aged in double cask, first in ex bourbon casks and then aged in ex Pedro Ximenez casks.

Lochlea Farm was purchased in 2006 by Neil McGeoch and at least initially the idea of distilling single malt was not contemplated, on the farm they only thought of cereals and cattle breeding.

The McGeoch family, in fact, has a long experience in the cultivation of barley to supply the whiskey industry.

With the passage of time, however, the idea of opening one's own distillery became stronger and stronger, and this is how the request for a distillation license was made in 2014, while the distillery was built in 2017.

Lochlea First Release is a single malt Scotch whiskey that uses only organic barley from Lochlea Farm, distilled at least 3 years ago and aged in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.

Bottled at a classic 46% vol. without being cold filtered and without adding dyes.

The distillery's first release is a limited edition of 7385 bottles.

This Lochlea 1 Release Whiskey has a very good percentage increase in value ... a real liquid gold!

Whiskey Lochlea 1 Release is a whiskey for aficionados and collectors.
