The GleAllachie 21-Year-Old Batch 5 from the "Oak" series is the most ethereal yet high-quality single malt from the Scottish distillery.

This is the single cask version, a very exclusive edition.

Distilled in 2003 and bottled at full strength in 2024 after a long aging of 21 years.

The Glenallachie 21-Year-Old Whisky Series is a small, limited edition, created from a selection of the finest casks.

Matured in a combination of five Sherry puncheons and hogsheads that had previously housed Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso, this whisky was then bottled at full strength.

Only 2,500 bottles were produced worldwide.

A 21-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from GlenAllachie, released after Billy Walker took over the distillery in 2017 and began his experiments in refining Glenallachie whisky.

The GlenAllachie distillery was founded in the 1930s in the verdant Scottish valley of Speyside. Its ownership has been passed down from father to son, making it, to this day, an independent business much loved by whisky fans.

So much so that the GlenAllachie distillery is being hailed as the future legendary distillery of the 21st century, on par with and competing with Springbank.

The name GlenAllachie derives from the Gaelic "gleann aileachaidh" and can be translated as "valley of the rocks." Despite its young age (founded in 1967) and some periods of mothballing, the distillery boasts a base of 40,000 casks, carefully selected for the production of this single malt.

A special feature of GlenAllachie whiskies is that pumps are not used to avoid damaging the fermented product and the distillate!

The GlenAllachie 21 Year Old Batch 5 is a limited edition from the new distillery.

The result is a delicious, delicate, ethereal, and elegant single malt.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Deep, dark amber.

Aromas: Treacle tart and spiced blood orange, with bursts of cocoa, black winter truffle, and caramelized brown sugar.

Taste: Rich chocolate, warm spices, and clementine zest, followed by molasses, berries, and crystallized ginger, with black cherries and raisin butter on the finish.
