Dictador is a Colombian rum made from cane juice produced in Cartegna de Indias, on the north coast of the country.

The Colombian Destilerìa was founded in 1913.

Dictador rum today is produced starting from dehydrated sugar cane juice, the so-called sugar honey, and subsequently rehydrated using pure spring water.

Fermentation takes place using unique yeasts selected in the company and distillation takes place using 30% distilled light white rum with continuous columns, and for the remaining 70% pot stills are used, where the most structured and strong spirits are obtained. .

Following a long aging in used barrels of ex-Sherry, ex-Bourbon, exploiting aging in a tropical climate, the best Colombian rums are born.

Rum Dictador Jerarquia Fino 1987 is born from the distillation with pot still type discontinuous still and aging for 33 years in single ex-Bourbon cask and subsequently in ex-sherry Montilla Fino cask.

Montilla Fino is a particular type of Sherry, not excessively sweet but very fragrant.

Rum Dictador Jerarquia 1987 Fino is an elegant, soft and full-bodied distillate of virgin sugar cane juice, matured in Colombia.

Bottled in 2020 at full capacity, very few bottles are produced, only 281.
