This release contains the oldest rums that have been fully aged in the distillery, and is a perfect example of Trelawny rum, with a congeners content of 1,240.2 g/hlpa, of which 334.7 g/hlpa are esters.

Few bottles of this Jamaican full grade rum are produced, as many as 55ABV.

Luca Gargano declares:

"Today Hampden opens a new frontier for all rum enthusiasts. These official bottlings indeed mark a historic moment for the world of spirits, comparable to the arrival on the Islay Single Malt market in the 80s"

Hampden, renowned among Jamaican rums for producing strong tasting spirits, which are the quintessential rum in Europe and other parts of the world.

Founded in 1753 in Trelawny, Hampden Estate is one of the oldest sugar cane processing companies in Jamaica and its products are characterized precisely by total respect for the island's tradition.

Hampden still uses only copper stills, therefore all rums are produced with 100% pot-still distillation and, as in the best Jamaican tradition, fermentation takes place for quite long times with natural yeasts.

This guarantees the development of intense and unique aromas.

The Hampden Estate produces high quality typically Jamaican rums and supplies, among other things, rums to Luca Gargano for Habitation Velier.

Rum Hampden Great House distillery edition 2022 is the arrival point for all the aging of the distillery selected by Gargano and officially marketed by Velier.

Produced in Trelawny, Jamaica, it is known for its intense flavor and high alcohol content.

To produce it, ancient techniques are used, handed down from generation to generation.

Use of own spring water in the various stages of production.

Prolonged fermentation and with the use of wild yeasts.

Distillation exclusively in pot stills.

The label takes up the design of the large house where these incredible Rums have been produced for more than 300 years, among the most aromatic and intense in the world.

The production follows techniques in use since the 18th century which determine a high value of esters and which give the product a unique aromatic profile.

Tropical aging; both references distributed by Velier are aged more than 7 years in Jamaica, which is equivalent to an aging of about 25 years in Europe.

Natural color and no added sugar in the rum.
