Did you know that whiskey is produced in the heart of Lorraine?
For this you have to go to Rozelieures, a small village located near an old volcano.
You can see a distillery there, the Grallet Dupic distillery, which has been smoking for 150 years; produces famous Single Malts from local barley!
These know a double distillation and aging in local oak barrels.
Here we discover a whiskey which has benefited from a unique finish: in casks which have contained HSE rum!
An initial aging in Cognac and Bourbon casks was then followed by a finish of 18 months under these very specific conditions, a process which has given it this unique flavor profile.
A happy meeting between two types of alcohol to which everything would seem to oppose, but which works wonders!
A successful attempt, which encourages us to further discover the products of Maison Rozelieures...
