Lagg Single malt Heavily peated 2022 batch 3 ex red wine Charred cask is the third inaugural release of this new distillery.

We are pleased to present and offer for sale the third and final of the three inaugural versions of Lagg Single Malt which will be released batch after batch starting with Batch 1.

Lagg is an exciting new Isle of Arran distillery is extremely excited to take this big step forward in the adventure of high quality, high peated whisky.

Lagg Single malt Heavily peated 2022 batch 3 ex red wine Charred cask is the result of the last few years of care and attention that distillery director Graham Omand and his team have poured into making Lagg Single Malt the "west coast island" style of Arran" robust, complex and earthy.

Lagg single malts are sourced using Concerto barley peated to a smoked level of 50ppm.

The first batch of Lagg Isle of Arran single malt whiskey is matured in ex bourbon casks for 30 months and then for a further 6 months, in re-rested casks previously used for Rioja red wine.

The release is free from cold filtration and is bottled with a natural colour, limited to only 10,000 bottles worldwide and bottled at 50% abv.

The Lagg Single malt Heavily peated 2022 batch 3 ex red wine Charred cask is a whiskey for specialists passionate about highly peated single malts, but it is also a first inaugural release therefore a rare whisky, to be collected or jealously guarded.
