Three types of wood are used for the maturation of Tomatin 12 YO: Bourbon barrels, Refill Hogsheads and Sherry Butts.
The Tomatin single malt remains to age in the three types for a period that lasts approximately 11 years and 6 months.
At this point everything is mixed and left to age again in Oloroso Sherry Butts Refills for a further 6-9 months.
It is bottled at 43%. Double Gold Medal at the San Francisco World Sprits Competition 2019.
