Peterson Junior straight Bulldog rusticated Fishtail

The Peterson Junior Bulldog is an Irish tobacco pipe, extremely compact, pocket pipe, produced by Peterson since 1945.

Made of dark rustic briar, it has a straight Bulldog shape, square stem, with nickel ferrule that stands out and makes this pipe unique.

The Peterson Bulldog shape combines the classic taut and dynamic shape with a well-proportioned, short stem that ends in the long square Fishtail mouthpiece.

The Peterson Junior bulldog is a very versatile tobacco pipe: it fits in your pocket, it has a well-proportioned bowl where you can smoke pipe tobacco and also cigarette tobacco, it is perfect for one shot smokes!

Furthermore, although a very compact pipe, it is equipped with the Peterson reservoir system.

The Irishman Charles Peterson began producing briar pipes and in 1890 discovered the famous reservoir system.

This is a reservoir in the stem under the head that has the task of keeping the tobacco dry.

All the moisture – this is the goal – is channeled into the tank.

Peterson's pipes, made personally and exclusively by hand, are the result of long and patient processing at the headquarters south of Dublin, where one of the oldest pipe factories in the world is located: Peterson of Dublin.

Characteristic of Peterson pipes is the classic, harmonious shape, elegance and practicality.

They are carved in the most selected and precious briar.

Note in this Junior bulldog model the elegance generated by the combination of the rustic dark briar and the nickel ferrule which enhances the entire body of the pipe.

Here we have something different from the rugged and muscular aesthetic that characterizes much of Peterson's pipes, the Specialty line contains some of the smallest and lightest Peterson Irish pipe shapes such as Barrel, Tankard, Calabash and Belgique.
