To celebrate Master Distiller Billy Walker's half-century long career in the whiskey industry, the final bottling of The Past, Present and Future series of single malts is born The GlenAllachie 50th Anniversary Future Edition 4 Years Peated.

Not only is this 4-year-old single malt the first peated release from GlenAllachie Distillery, but also the first spirit ever produced under the ownership of Billy Walker of The GlenAllachie Distillery.

Alluding to future engagements, this expression enjoyed a long fermentation of 160 hours.

The resulting ester-rich and fruity distillate was then matured in ex-bourbon and ex-bourbon rye casks, as well as some virgin oak casks.

Crafted with continental peat, this amber-colored distillate offers a distinctly smoky yet sweet flavor profile, bursting with sweet cinnamon apples alongside steaming oak.

Featured at a natural cask strength of 60.2%, with no added colors or cold filtration for maximum flavor.

Limited release of 10,000 bottles worldwide.

The trilogy dedicated to Billy Walker's 50 years of activity thus closes with the first release of peated single malt from GlenAllachie.

The GlenAllachie 4 Years Old 50th Anniversary is a single malt Scotch whiskey created from peated malt from the St. Fergus area in Speyside.

This whiskey is matured for at least 4 years in a mix of ex-bourbon casks, ex-rye whiskey and virgin casks before being bottled at full strength (60.2% abv) without cold-filtering and without colorants in 10,000 bottles totals.

This is a very rare and valuable GlenAllachie version of single malt to collect.

Tasting notes:

Color: Light amber.

Aroma: On the nose we have notes of BBQ meat, vanilla, honey and hazelnut with hints of apple and cinnamon.

Taste: On the palate we are welcomed by a smoke of terrestrial peat, vanilla, caramel, some vegetable, citrus and apple notes with hints of tobacco and toffee.

Final: Of medium persistence, the notes of smoke are well integrated with vanilla, honey and a slight hint of leather.
