New version of the annual release of the classic Macallan whiskey 18 y.o. Sherry Oak cask.

Macallan 18 Years Sherry Oak Cask is a single malt Scotch whiskey aged for 18 years in seasoned casks that previously held Jerez sherry.

The ex sherry seasoned casks are carefully selected to ensure that they give the Macallan single malt an intensity of aromas.

The 18 year old is part of the Sherry Oak Cask series, the result of years of painstaking research by Macallan into the best woods to use for whiskey ageing.

Very few bottles available for this year.

The Single Malt Scotch Whiskey Macallan 18 Years Sherry Oak Cask is distilled in the new distillery and after 18 years of aging it is bottled at full strength.

The Macallan Single Malt Scotch Whiskey is delicious if drunk pure, and if diluted with water it is characterized by hints of persistent notes of raisins, vanilla, citrus covered in chocolate and honey, flanked by light notes of tobacco and red fruit, cherries in syrup. A delight!

Tasting notes:

Color: Light mahogany.

Aroma: Delicate notes of Sherry arrive on the nose, with sweet aromas of vanilla, honey and cinnamon. There are hints of lemon and dehydrated citrus fruits.

Flavour: Macallan 18 Years Old sherry Cask is first slightly hot and spicy, tobacco, then lets emerge notes of pear, dried grapes, citrus fruits, dark chocolate and cherries in syrup.

Macallan 18 years is to be combined with a wonderful Cohiba Magicos cigar or an Eiroa Classic corona.

For fans of slow smoking we recommend pairing it with a Solani blend 779 tobacco.
