The 21-year-old Islay fusion 1990 single malt is the most complex and tasty of the single malts in the Distillery malt fusion series by Pepi Mongiardino and Moon Import.
Bottled in 2011 with a small production of only 860 bottles worldwide.
This single malt was distilled in 1990 in a secret distillery on the south coast of Islay and aged for 21 years in ex sherry casks.
The result is a single malt, a whiskey of great value, enveloping and soft, ideal for a convivial after-dinner or for moments of absolute relaxation.
The distillery chosen by Pepi Mongiardino but kept secret is among the smallest and most famous distilleries in the Islay region of Scotland.
The single malt Scotch Whiskey Islay fusion 1990 by the selector and refiner Pepi Mongiardino is produced using high quality raw materials.
The elegance and high quality of the product is due to the care that the staff takes towards every detail, as well as to the processing methods that are placed halfway between tradition and innovation.
The company tends to exclude chemical additives, so that the final result is totally natural and takes on the typical taste of artisan distillates.
This applies both to the carefully selected barley malt and to the water, which comes from pure sources in the Scottish hills
The Single Malt Scotch Whiskey Islay fusion 1990 is good sipped pure, with notes of raisins, aromas of cereals and spicy hints.
Note the few bottles produced, only 860 in the world.
