  • Peaty version of the classic Glenfiddich whisky, aged in ex-bourbon and finished in ex-rum casks.

  • The further finishing in Rum barrels gives the whiskey a surprising layering of aromas.

  • Excellent whiskey to amaze fans of peated single malts.

  • Christmas gift idea, perfect for smokers.

The Glenfiddich Experimental series is made up of 4 releases designed specifically to amaze, 4 "experiments" designed by Brian Kinsman, the Malt Master of Glenfiddich, to create unusual but exciting whiskies.

After Glenfiddich IPA, Project XX and Winter Storm, the latest addition is called Fire & Cane, and it's peaty!

The source of inspiration for Fire & Cane began in 2003 when Malt Master Brian Kirsman decided to distill peated alcohol in stills.

Smoked whiskey with unpeated malts, aged in ex-Bourbon barrels, which highlight the sweet and fruity aromas typical of Glenfiddich.

The further finishing in Rum barrels gives the whiskey a surprising and unexpected overlap of aromas with the addition of sweet caramel notes.

The Glenfiddich Fire & Cane – Eperimental Series is a single malt Scotch whisky, without age definition, composed of rare peated whiskeys from Glenfiddich aged in ex-Bourbon barrels and aged for 3 months in highly selected ex-Rum barrels from various distilleries in the South America.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Light amber.

Perfumes: On the nose it is peat that welcomes us, but forget the marine notes of Islay whiskies, here the peat is more mineral and continental, there are notes of caramel, cinnamon, fresh fruit and hints of vanilla.

Taste: The palate is medium-bodied, with notes of forest campfire smoke, caramel, a hint of cinnamon, red apple, honey and a light floral note.

Finish: Of good persistence, soft as only Glenfiddich can be, with sweet notes of vanilla and caramel, spices and honey with the peat smoke that remains present.

We recommend pairing Glenfiddich Fire & Cane with an excellent Capitol Robusto cigar.
