Providence Haitian pure single rum ex-Caroni casks Vol.52% Cl.70

The Haitian rum Providence 2021 aged three years in a mix of casks including barrels previously used for Caroni rum, is the new limited edition proposed by Velier in 2025.

Haiti is the home of the original and pristine Caribbean rum distilled only from the squeeze of Cristalline sugar cane and entirely produced and aged by hand, without the aid of robots.

The Port-au-Prince distillery is one of the oldest in operation on the island, run by hand, it was discovered by Luca Gargano at the beginning of the 2000s and an active commercial and production consultancy collaboration began, also with the help of Capovilla.

From the heart of the capital of Haiti, precisely from the Distillerie de Port-au-Prince, comes the first Providence which includes 17 aged barrels, all ex-Caroni.

The Cristalline sugar cane used for these rums comes from Saint-Michel-de-l’Attalaye, from the Clairin producer, Michel Sajous.

Natural yeasts used in fermentation allow the development of a unique aromatic complexity.

The liquid obtained after fermentation is distilled in a bain-marie in a discontinuous copper still, built by Müller in collaboration with Vittorio Capovilla.

The Providence 2021 is a young intense Haitian rum that conquers with its intense aromas.

The aging in Ex-bourbon and ex-Caroni barrels has given the Providence 2021 rum unique scents, particular ones that soften the Haitian rum and enrich it with the strong scents of the famous Caroni rum.
