Smokey Joe Islay blended malt Vol.46% Cl.70

Blended Scotch Whiskey from the island of Islay, composed of single malts selected from the best distilleries on the island including the famous Caol Illa and Bowmore.

Smokey Joe is a truly complex blended malt scotch whiskey which is characterized by the quality of the Islay malts used, very particular malts processed using local peat, used to dry the barley.

The sensation is that of being in front of a smoked sea and you are literally bewitched by this peculiarity, even more enhanced by the fact that this distillate is bottled at 46% alcohol by volume and is not subjected to any filtration, in order to maintain its its unique characteristics intact and underline its fine taste.

Unlike highly peated blended malt whiskies, Smokey Joe is soft, full-bodied, warm and always well balanced.

Tasting Notes:

Color: very intense golden yellow.

Perfumes: it has a fruity nose of melon and eucalyptus which combine with smoky tones that are almost reminiscent of burnt caramel, hints of orange peel in alcohol, oak and bark.

Taste: Medium-high bodied sip, with peat dominating alongside a strong flavor that comes in straight, clear and impertinent, dominating the entire palate and bringing with it curious nuances of black pepper.

Finish: Long persistence, in which there is also room for some fruity memories.
