Lagg is an exciting new distillery on the Isle of Arran is extremely excited to be taking this big step forward into the adventure of high quality, highly peated whisky.
The Heavily peated Lagg Corriecravie sherry cask finish single malt is the result of the last few years of care and attention that distillery director Graham Omand and his team have poured into making the Lagg Single Malt the robust, complex "West Coast Isle of Arran" style and earthy.
The first batch of Lagg single malt whiskey from the Isle of Arran is matured in French oak casks and finished in ex-sherry casks, distilled using concert barley peated to a smoky level of 50ppm.
The aging is not indicated, but it is certainly more than 3 years, given the softness of the product and the intensity of the aromas.
The release is free from cold filtration and is bottled with a natural color and bottled at 55% abv.
The Lagg Corriecravie sherry cask finish is a whiskey for specialists passionate about highly peated single malts, to be enjoyed accompanied by an excellent cigar.

Tasting Notes:
Dark colour.
Perfumes: a nice, moist and intense peat smoke welcomes us, we have notes of candied orange peel, heather honey, chocolate.
Taste: Excellent! We have notes of peat smoke, then vanilla custard with chocolate, blueberries and pink pepper.
Finish: Good persistence with a nice persistent smoke rounded off by hints of chocolate and cherries from the sherry.
