Special edition of the Glenfiddich 14 year old single malt, the Rich Oak edition.
Aged 14 years in new American oak barrels and subsequently aged in new Spanish oak barrels.
The Glenfiddich 14 Years rich oak Edition was created to celebrate the skilful use of barrels and wood made in the distillery.
Glenfiddich, which in Gaelic means Deer Valley, is the name that William Grant gave to his distillery way back in 1886.
Helped by his large family, with the aim of making his dream of opening a distillery come true, William Grant physically built it in Dufftown, stone by stone, in just one year and, although approximately 130 years have passed, this determination and this passion can still be felt today.
For the production of its single malts, the distillery uses a careful selection of malted barley to which water from the Robbie Dhu source heated to 64 degrees is added.
From this mash begins the process of extracting all the sugars which will be transformed into alcohol during fermentation.
Glenfiddich is one of the few distilleries to still be family-run and its Single Malt Scotch Whiskey is among the most awarded in the world.
The Single Malt Scotch Whiskey Glenfiddich distillery edition aged 15 years, is a unique and special distillate, made so thanks to the production technique introduced by the fifth Master Maltster and which is still handed down today, testifying to the validity and awareness of the Grant family's traditions .
Aged first in new American oak barrels, it will then be left to rest in first-fill Spanish oak barrels, so as to aerate the character, releasing further fragrant yeasts.
The Glenfiddich 14 y.o. rich oak edition is one of the most fragrant Single Malt whiskeys in the world.
The Glenfiddich 14 Years rich oak Edition is a refined and complex whisky, ideal for those who love spirits with an intense and smooth flavour.
