The Beenleigh 2015 rum desert maturation is the version aged in an arid environment, in the bush, of the rum from the Australian distillery.

Aged for 5 years in ex-bourbon barrels in the Australian desert near the distillery headquarters in Queensland with an angel share >23%.

Founded in 1884, Beenleigh Rum Distillery is Australia's oldest still operating distillery.

Created on the banks of the Albert River in Eagleby, Queensland, the rum is still produced in small batches, the traditional way.

Australia is the largest and best sugar producer in the world, the molasses generated creates excellent English style rums.

For its fermentation the best local molasses are used, which come from the last family-run sugar factory in the country and others in the Queensland area.

But the Australian territory is not only the source of the raw material, molasses... with its extension and its particular climatic zones it allows different forms of aging.

The Beenleigh distillery was a pioneer of aging in different climatic zones, from subantarctic Tasmania, to the hot and humid forests of Queensland up to the red, arid and desert areas of the Australian Bush.

The Beenleigh 2015 desert maturation version of the rum was distilled in Single Column and Pot Stili, then subsequently aged in ex-Bourbon American Oak barrels.

This extraordinary Australian rum will be bottled in 2021 without filtering and without added sugar.

The aromas of this single barrel rum evolve continuously in the glass, while in the mouth it expresses its full-bodied and soft character.
