  • The best-selling Peterson Irish pipe from the System Standard series.

  • Balanced and compact lines, very light.

  • The thick metal ring is very beautiful.

  • Palatal P-Lip mouthpiece.

The Peterson 317 System Standard line tobacco pipe is an excellent walking pipe, a chin rest that will amaze you with its smoking qualities and lightness, which is why it is one of the best-selling Peterson pipe models.

Eschewing the more cylindrical and tubular aesthetic of many of the models such as the 313 or 302's signature designs, this curved, almost apple-like billiard features a slightly tapered, but more rounded bowl style, combined with a beefy shank and transition to maintain the Peterson House style.

Despite this generous size, it remains a compact pipe in terms of overall length, making it an excellent choice for travel.

Irishman Charles Peterson began making briar pipes and discovered the famous reservoir system in 1890.

This is a reservoir in the stem under the head that has the task of keeping the tobacco dry.

All the moisture – this is the goal – is channeled into the tank.

The Peterson series of pipes called System Standard first appeared in 1945, but the entry-level design has been a staple in catalogs since Charles Peterson obtained his final patent in 1898.

Designed to provide a cooler, drier smoke, each pipe features a deep reservoir within the stem to collect excess moisture.

A graduated hole mouthpiece that channels smoke and allows moisture to collect inside the tank; a sturdy military nickel support, which allows the tube to be disassembled and cleaned without damage or deformation; and our patented P-Lip tip, which draws smoke upwards, thus reducing tongue bite.

Available here in the rich ruby color of the Heritage finish.

The characteristic of Peterson pipes is the classic, harmonious shape, elegance and practicality.

They are carved from the most selected and precious briar.

Note in this model the sandblasting of the briar that envelops the entire body of the pipe.

The classic ruby amaranth color goes well with the shiny finish and the ring, an elegant tobacco pipe.

Each Peterson of Dublin pipe is a unique and unrepeatable piece and the photos you see portray this exclusive pipe, which, once developed, will be removed from the catalogue.

The external finish may vary slightly from the image as each Peterson briar pipe is a unique piece.

The variations are intended only in the shades of the briar, the measurements and shape do not vary.

If you need more detailed photos, we will be happy to send them to you.
