The most famous and best-selling of the Peterson of Dublin Irish pipes is the Peterson Standard System 301 P-lip Bent Pot shape, a massive pipe.

Featuring a large metal ferrule with the K & P markings, it has a beautifully curved acrylic mouthpiece.

The 301 P-lip is one of the most popular Peterson shapes. Its distinctive interpretation of the bent bowl enhances the inherently muscular design with a wide, squat bowl and extra-robust proportions through the shank and transition, as well as an elegant quarter bend.

The Peterson 301 shape corresponds to the Bent Pot shape with a low, wide bowl and a large-diameter bowl, ideal for Balkan Mixture and latakia.

The Irishman Charles Peterson began making briar pipes and in 1890 discovered the famous reservoir system.

This is a reservoir in the shank under the bowl that keeps the tobacco dry.

All moisture—this is the goal—is channeled into the reservoir.

The flagship Peterson line, the System Standard, first appeared in 1945, but the entry-level design has been a staple in catalogs since Charles Peterson received his final patent in 1898.

Designed to provide a cooler, drier smoke, each pipe features a deep reservoir inside the shank to collect excess moisture.

This Peterson Irish pipe features a graduated bore mouthpiece that channels the smoke and allows moisture to collect inside the reservoir. The mouthpiece is palatal. The P-Lip is the traditional choice, with the patented P-Lip tip, which draws smoke upward, thus reducing tongue bite.

It features a sturdy military-grade nickel shank, which allows the shank to be disassembled and cleaned without damage or deformation.

Peterson pipes, personally and exclusively handcrafted, are the result of long and painstaking work at their headquarters in south Dublin, home to one of the oldest pipe factories in the world: Peterson of Dublin.

Peterson pipes are characterized by their classic, harmonious shape, elegance, and practicality.

They are carved from the finest, most select briar.

Note the flamed briar pattern that envelops the entire body of the pipe.

The exterior finish may vary slightly from the image, as each Peterson briar pipe is unique.

The variations are limited to the briar's nuances; the dimensions and shape remain unchanged.

The pipe will be shipped with its original box and bag.
