The latest edition of the Papalin blended rum invented by Gargano turns to the Indian Ocean with the distilleries of the island of Reunion.

Papalin Rum is one of Luca Gargano's first creations, marketed in 2013 only in the best venues specializing in Spirit of the Caribbean, and is now presented again in a new composition.

Papalin Reunion is a blend of 4 rums from distilleries on the island of Reunion.

Traditional 10 year old rum distilled from molasses, an 11 year old Grand Arome rum, a 12 year old traditional method rum from molasses and finally an extremely complex 15 year old rum aged in ex-bourbon barrels.

From the native sugar cane of the French island which has been fermented for a long time and subsequently distilled, a fresh and crunchy rum is born.

The rums selected by Luca Gragano were blended and subsequently bottled in 2023.

It is a Blended or Vatted of different types of Rum assembled according to the old traditional system, which gave us a limited edition of a few thousand bottles.

Papalin Reunion rum is perfect for novices in Heavy rums as it is very pleasant to drink, Papalin is certainly interesting for experts precisely because of its great balance and good personality.

This is probably the best of the Papalin rums, we have before us a sample of complexity that remains an excellent rum with a fantastic quality-price ratio.

Papalin is a classic, well-made, quite soft, creamy and mineral rum that is a pleasure to drink.

The spicy component mixed with some mineral notes which give it a good evolution is interesting and very expressive.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Papalin rum is a bright amber.

Perfumes: On the nose it presents an intense bouquet, constantly evolving in the glass, very clean and balanced. You can perceive the aroma of the long fermented molasses and the ex-bourbon barrels used.

Taste: In the mouth the attack is warm, seductive, dry but sweet, creamy. Very intense but always very balanced flavor of molasses and spices.

The finish is pleasant, with a slow evolution and good persistence.
