

The Raasay Special Release 2023 single malty is the follow-up edition created following success at the 2022 Scottish Whiskey Awards, when the Raasay distillery was crowned Scottish Whiskey Distillery of the Year.
This Hebridean single malt was distilled in August 2018, bottled in August 2023, this whiskey is the oldest liquid the Raasay distillery has released to date.
A special annual release from the distillery is a demonstration of the desire to further push the boundaries of Raasay Single Malt flavor and give you a taste of something different from the distillery's signature style.
Matured in a peated Ex-Four Roses bourbon whiskey cask and finished in Quarter Cask of Quercus Humboldtii before bottling with an ABV of 50.7%.

The Isle of Raasay Distillery was the first legal distillery on the Isle of Raasay when it opened in 2017.
Tasting note:
Aroma: Complex with rich malt notes. Fruity with a trace of peat.
Palate: Enveloping and delicate. A combination of apples, pears and malt with a delicate note of nuts and honey.
Finish: Smooth, sweet and satisfying with a smoky note contrasted by a hint of vanilla.
The Raasay special release single malt is a slightly peated whiskey that will win you over, it's a shame that there are few bottles produced.
