Here we have a young version, the 2006 vintage which over the years has completed an aging of 17 years.

Rum distilled in Guyana in 2006 by the famous Demerara Distillers and after aging in sherry barrels bottled in 2023 in just 601 bottles.

With an extraordinary bouquet, it releases intense notes of caramel and milk ice cream with a honeyed flavour, hints of light spices and raisins, concentrated banana and dried fruit, candied citrus fruits.

All the Rums in the Demerara Moon Import selection come from original barrels, aged in Scotland, selected and bottled individually in the same place, as Scotland is the region of the world where the maturation of the alcohol is the best and most regular compared to all the other countries.

The color of the Rum is determined by the duration of aging in oak barrels, but also by the product contained in the barrel in its previous use, in this case Sherry pedro jmenez.

For example, if the barrel has contained Sherry for a certain period, the Rum will absorb the tannins and will have a darker color than if the barrel had previously contained another distillate.

The color of Moon Import's Demerara Sherry Wood rum is in fact a beautiful dark copper colour, a natural colour.
