The Peterson Squire shape is one of the most famous Peterson shapes, iconic, corresponding to the curved Bulldog shape, it is the most famous and sought after among Peterson pipes.
Originally created as part of the Original Sherlock Holmes collection (1989-1991), this squat and extra-sturdy curved Bulldog shape tobacco pipe was designed by senior craftsman Paddy Larrigan and features a large, spacious fire hole and thick insulating walls .
A tobacco pipe produced by Peterson for the Sherlock Holmes line equipped with a silver ferrule and dark briar in a sandblasted finish.
The Sherlock Holmes Dark Smooth line features all the legendary Sherlock-inspired shapes in a rich smoky walnut finish, accented by wide sterling silver bands and traditional jet black mouthpieces.
The Peterson Sherlock Holmes line combines a series of the most exclusive shapes with sanded dark reddish oak finishes, along with palatal vulcanite mouthpieces.
The mouthpiece is palatal without filter.
Made of dark briar, it has a Bent Bulldog shape called Squire with a square stem and 925 silver ferrule which stands out and makes this pipe unique.
The Peterson Squire shape combines the iconic, very curved Bulldog shape with a sturdy barrel embellished with the large ring marked Peterson Dublin and the Sherlock Holmes symbol.
The Irishman Charles Peterson began producing briar pipes and in 1890 discovered the famous reservoir system.
This is a reservoir in the stem under the head that has the task of keeping the tobacco dry.
All the moisture – that is the goal – is channeled into the reservoir.
Peterson's pipes, made personally and exclusively by hand, are the result of long and patient processing at the headquarters south of Dublin, where one of the oldest pipe factories in the world is located: Peterson of Dublin.
Characteristic of Peterson pipes is the classic, harmonious shape, elegance and practicality.
They are carved in the most selected and precious briar.
Note in this model the elegance generated by the combination of the dark briar and the silver ring which enhances the entire body of the pipe.
The external finish may vary slightly from the image as each Peterson briar pipe is a unique piece.
The variations are intended only in the shades of the briar, the measurements and shape do not vary.
