The prestigious Signature rum range from the JM distillery is finally available in Italy!

This JM Vieux Signature Agricultural Rum 1997 with 25 years of aging is the second bottling of the Signature range and is a true rarity.

A rarity because JM traditionally bottles most of its rums with fifteen years of aging, there are few editions with 25 years of aging.

The elegant wooden box houses an iconic black satin glass bottle closed with sealing wax and with a black and shiny label that is very difficult to photograph.

Produced in only 250 pieces in the world, this is bottle 118 and is certainly a welcome gift for any rum enthusiast.

All bottles are completed with a wooden collar which shows the data of the 1997 vintage, the bottle number and a brief description of the tasting of this rare JM agricultural rum.

The small J.M distillery was founded in 1845 in the north-east of the island of Martinique and has gained worldwide fame throughout its existence.

This top "Rhum Agricole" is distilled exclusively from the pure fermented sugar cane juice of its own lands, perched on the slopes of the volcano and facing the equator.

This allows for better maturation of the sugar cane.

The canes, harvested mechanically, are ground within an hour of being cut to extract the sugary juice, the "vesou".

This is then left to ferment, then it is distilled with a Creole double column still... historic.

The rum j.m. it is then aged in its own Limousin oak barrels and mixed with spring water coming from the forest, natural park of Mount Pelée, which surrounds the Martinique volcano.

The JM signature 25 year rum is produced from a single barrel of Rhum Agricole Hors d'Âge AOC Martinique was distilled in 1997.

The Contrôlée Martinique denomination means that it is a rum without additions, such as sugar or caramel, and the strict controls of the European Community apply to this controlled denomination.

Aged in American oak barrels, this exceptional Rum has benefited from extremely prolonged tropical aging for 25 years!

It was then bottled at its natural alcohol content of 41.2% vol.
