Favorite Coeur de Canne stands out for its unique composition, derived from the art of blending different varieties, selected from specific plots and subjected to prolonged fermentation, distinctive characteristics of the renowned distillery.

This fine white rum is obtained through a process that involves the creation of the Creole column number 1 and an ageing period in stainless steel tanks for at least four months.

La Favorite is one of the last independent distilleries in Martinique along with Neisson.

It was founded in 1842 on the remains of a sugar refinery called Les Jambettes before being renamed La Favorite in 1851.

In 1909, when Henri Dormoy acquired it, he made some improvements to transform the sugar refinery into a distillery.

Following some twists and turns related to the mania for gambling by Albert Dormoy (son of Henry), La Favorite saw its activity cease in the 1938s.

It did not resume production until André, his younger brother, took over and completely renovated it in 1956.
