Jura single malt rum cask finish Vol.40% Cl.70

The Single Malt Jura Rum Cask Finish is the third edition of the Jura Cask Editions series, which aims to add characteristic hints of casks from all over the world to the whisky from the remote island of Jura.

Little curiosity: ‘jura’ in Gaelic means ‘deer’, to underline the nature of this distillate and the land from which it comes.

This Scotch Whisky has therefore been aged in ex-bourbon casks and then refined in casks that have previously contained rum from the Caribbean.

A subtle, consistent peat runs through the new Jura Signature Series, and under the watchful eye of the distillery team and Master Distiller, the finest casks are selected to capture the sweet oak that has always been the distillery’s trademark.

Each single malt in the series is left to mature in ex-bourbon American white oak casks and further enhanced with a variety of specially selected casks from across Europe.

This limited edition rum-aged cask explores the flavours of the Caribbean.

Jura Rum Cask Finish is initially matured in ex-bourbon American white oak casks and then transferred to Caribbean rum casks for a smooth, creamy profile and a fruity finish.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Warm notes of guava and coconut on the nose, sugar-coated almonds, apricots and a touch of citrus.

Palate: o sweet vanilla, dark chocolate, layers of mango, banana and guava, with a long lasting sweet cinnamon spice finish.

Finish: Velvety smooth with lemon meringue.
