Saint. James Cuvée D'Excellence is an AOC agricole rum of the highest quality, distilled from pure sugar cane juice.
The Cuvée D'Excellence of the Saint James distillery is a great distillate, as well as an excellent expression of the solid tradition that Martinique boasts in the rhum agricole sector.
For over 255 years Saint James has been the world leader in Rhum Agricole, it is the pioneer distillery of Martinique having been the first to bottle Rhum at the end of the 19th century and the first to export it, as well as the first to advertise in the 1920s.
Despite being the distillery that produces the most rum on the entire island, it maintains the production techniques unchanged, not being attracted by the use of sugars, chips, and adulterating finishes.
It also holds the largest stock of barrels in aging of Rhum Agricole.
The cuvee d'excellence Saint James is a celebratory version - created by the oenologist and master distiller Marc Sassier - of a very important award received by the distillery in 2008.
Saint. James rum is aged for over 6 years in oak barrels.
During aging, St. James agricultural rum loses 35% of the product.
Awarded all over the world, it fully reflects the high quality of Saint James products, a distillery that in 2008 received the Prix d'Excellence at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris.
Tasting Notes:
Color: Amber with mahogany reflections.
Aroma: The nose expresses itself with notes of roasted coffee, wood, undergrowth and sweet spices.
Taste: On the palate it is full, rich, round and well-balanced. Persistent.
