Very rare bottle of 1999 vintage Agricolo rum from the Savanna distillery, Reunion Island, aged 12 years in ex-Cognac barrels and bottled in 2011.

The ex-Cognac barrel used comes from the premier cru of Cognac and gives subtle aromas to the agricultural rum without changing the tasting experience too much.

Rhum Savanna Millesimo 1999 aged in a single ex-Cognac barrel number 819, limited edition of only 1142 bottles in the world.

This Rhum Agricolo della Savanna was barreled on July 29, 1999 and bottled in 2011 after resting for 12 years in the French oak barrel number 819 previously used to age the premier cru cognac.

Distilled in the historic Savalle column, this rum agricole undergoes tropical aging with great Angel share.

Produced in only 1142 bottles these are the last available at the distillery, all bottles are numbered on the label.

This is a sublime goodness, a rarity in the world of rum, it's a shame that very few bottles are produced.

Here we have one of the few distilleries to still believe in a certain authenticity, and the annual output expressions of sugar cane from the island of Reunion.

The aging in a single ex-Cognac barrel allows to enhance the peculiarities of the long fermentation conducted by Savanna, soften the aromas of the agricultural rum, enhance the flavors of the sugar cane.
