The 16 Year Old Single Malt Whisky, produced by the Aberfeldy Distillery, is a label that offers the pleasure of a taste experience characterized by softness, malty and fruity sweetness.
It is a great distillate, which perfectly represents the classic style of the great Single Malts from the Highlands, rich, complex, but without the typically smoky and peaty notes that characterize the Whiskies made in the Hebrides.
An always satisfying style, made even more seductive by a long aging in carefully selected noble woods, which helps to enrich the bouquet with refined hints of tertiary evolution.
The 16 Year Old Single Malt Whisky is born in the central area of the Scottish Highlands region.
The Aberfeldy distillery was founded at the end of the 19th century and has always been one of the most important production realities in the area.
Its success is due to a selection of excellent malt and the possibility of using the purest water, rich in mineral substances, of the Pitlie Burn stream.
To the basic ingredients of excellent quality, a traditional production process is added, carried out according to the most ancient artisanal customs, jealously preserved as a precious company treasure.
The classic sweetness that characterizes all Aberfeldy Single Malts is due to a long and patient fermentation, which allows to bring to the fore the sweet honeyed notes that give a particular nuance to the distillates.
The softness is then enhanced by a 16-year refinement in barrels previously used for the aging of Bourbon and the fragrant fortified wines of Jerez.
The Aberfeldy Single Malt Whisky, aged for 16 years, is particularly loved by enthusiasts faithful to the classic taste of a sweet, soft and enveloping distillate, perfect to be enjoyed neat, with ice or in combination with very bitter dark chocolate.
