This 10-year-old Clarendon Monymusk is part of the second edition of the now legendary Magnum series, born in 2021 from an idea by Luca Gargano, with the aim of bringing together the great masters of rum with the great photographers of the Magnum agency.
If the first edition of the series was accompanied by the iconic images on the label by Elliott Erwitt, the second pays homage to the American photographer Alex Webb, who has been part of the agency since 1979.
This bottling is therefore accompanied by a photograph of him on the label, taken in Trinidad in 2005 and recalls the mechanical wheel of the millstones and cranes for processing sugar cane.
The Monymusk distillery was founded in 1780, this distillery is part of National Rums of Jamaica.
This is a rum that is part of the MBS mark of the Clarendon distillery, with an ester content of between 10 and 60 grams per hectolitre of pure alcohol.
This excellent Jamaican rum from the Magnum series was produced in only 1516 bottles, a rarity!
Tasting Notes:
Aromas: On the nose it is round and full, with hints of apricot and vanilla that gradually become floral and medicinal.
Taste: The palate is dynamic and elegant, with exotic notes, delicate tannins and candied citrus. The finish is long and complex, with bitter nuances of gentian and tones of praline and tobacco.
