    • The Teasobi sculptures, Kikuchi has captured the tactile pleasure of holding a finished piece of wood and the pleasure of seeing it swing organically after placing it on a surface.

    • The Tevina pipes are inspired by a series of sculptures called Teasobi

    • High quality, sculptural, natural seasoned briar.

    • A very light Japanese pipe.

The Tsuge Tevina line of pipes is a new addition to the Japanese pipe manufacturing industry, inspired by a series of sculptures called Teasobi, created by one of Tsuge’s esteemed Ikebana artisans, Asami Kikuchi.

With the Teasobi sculptures, Kikuchi has captured the tactile pleasure of holding a finished piece of wood and the pleasure of seeing it swing organically after placing it on a surface.

The Tevina pipe series recontextualizes Teasobi in the form of a briar pipe, embracing a bold, naturalistic new form.

Impressively, each Tevina is a resolute Sitter, as the curved contours cause the pipe to swing back and forth before settling on its stable center of gravity.

Each individual Tevina pipe is patiently hand-balanced by Tsuge's Japanese craftsmen.

Tsuge Tevina pipes are very neat, balanced and minimalist with a thin mouthpiece.

The Tsuge Tevina is designed specifically for experienced smokers who want a pipe with natural shapes but comfortable to use and perfect for smoking.

Minimalist in design, the Tsuge Tevina pipe takes on the shapes of the crushed tomato pipe but with more marked lines on the left and a pipe chimney that rises almost to recall the shape of a volcano.

Tsuge Tevina pipes are very light and compact in size, made of high quality briar.

Here we present the Tsuge Tevina 101 Tomato freehand curved with an oriental shape and a polished briar finish.

The Tevina "101" pipe model, a flexible Freehand defined by an arched ridge line on the left side, a forward-pushing edge and a lenticular shank face.

In addition, this particular tobacco pipe model "101" has a glossy natural briar finish, which further enhances its intriguing feel.

The details are very well-finished, such as the shank attachment that contains the reinforcement and enhances the thin mouthpiece.

The base of the pipe is rounded, but the pipe remains upright, it remains balanced and therefore easy to support, but it is also very comfortable to hold.

The Tsuge Tevina 101 semi-bent pipe is an everyday pipe, balanced, light, that smokes very well.

With its free, natural, stable shape and the higher chimney it can be used for English mixtures and is excellent for everyday use.

The Tsuge pipe manufacturing laboratory was founded in the 1930s by Kyoichiro Tsuge in Japan.

Thus was born from a cigarette holder factory, what is today the largest and most advanced Japanese manufacturer in the field of pipes.

Its laboratories for the production of pipes are based in Tokyo, in the Asakusa district.

Tsuge Japanese pipes have an undoubted natural and international approach; more decidedly Japanese are other Tsuge pipes with sandblasted finishes, bamboo details, refined lacquering.

But what all the models have in common is the coherent, meticulous, obstinate search for perfection.

Kyoichiro always sought it, his heirs tenaciously seek it.

Each Tsuge Japanese pipe is a unique and unrepeatable piece, the external finish may vary slightly from the image because each briar pipe is a unique piece.

The variations are only intended in the shades of the briar, the measurements and shape do not vary.
