Iconic Oom Paul shape, tobacco pipe produced by Peterson for the standard system deluxe equipped with a silver ring, metal conical reducer and sandblasted briar finish.
The novelty of the Peterson Deluxe System 20FB is enclosed in the muscular stem that contains a deeper smoke expansion chamber, the standard system reservoir, and a metal conical reducer that cools the smoke and removes the humidity of the smoke.
The Peterson Deluxe System line combines a number of the most popular shapes with midnight sandblasts and smooth dark oak rims, along with acrylic stems with a palatal mouthpiece and a large sterling silver ferrule.
Made of dark sandblasted briar, it has an Oom Paul shape called 20FB with a 925 silver ferrule that stands out and makes this pipe unique.
The Peterson 20FB shape combines the unusual curved Oom Paul shape with a sturdy shank embellished with the large ferrule marked Peterson Dublin and containing the smoke expansion chamber called reservoir.
The Irishman Charles Peterson began producing briar pipes and in 1890 he discovered the famous reservoir system.
This is a reservoir in the shank under the head that has the task of keeping the tobacco dry.
All the humidity - this is the goal - is conveyed into the reservoir, the current addition of a conical metal reducer has perfected this ingenious system for smoking dry.
Peterson pipes, personally and exclusively handcrafted, are the result of a long and patient process at the headquarters in the south of Dublin, where one of the oldest pipe factories in the world is located: Peterson of Dublin.
Characteristic of Peterson pipes is the classic, harmonious shape, elegance and practicality.
They are carved in the most select and precious briar.
The sandblasting of the briar is very particular, deep, English style, transforming the external texture of the briar pipe into a skin.
Note in this model the elegance generated by the combination of the dark sandblasted briar and the silver ring that enhances the entire body of the pipe.
The external finish may vary slightly from the image as each Peterson briar pipe is a unique piece.
The variations are intended only in the shades of the briar, the measurements and shape do not vary.
