Scapegrace Revenant Limited Release III is the third instalment in the limited-edition single malt series produced by New Zealand distillery Scapegrace.
With just 4,366 bottles available, this expression represents a rare example of a craft whisky from New Zealand, a country primarily known for its wines and gin.
Unlike traditional Scottish single malts, Revenant III is distinguished by the use of laureate barley smoked with manuka wood, a native New Zealand plant.
This process gives the whisky a distinctive flavour profile, far from the peaty notes typical of Scotch whiskies. The ageing takes place in virgin French oak barrels for three years, without chill filtration and without the addition of colouring, thus preserving the naturalness of the product
Founded in 2014 in the Central Otago region, Scapegrace is known for producing internationally awarded gins. The distillery takes advantage of the area's extreme climate, characterised by harsh winters and hot summers, ideal for ageing whisky.
The series of limited edition single malts, including Revenant III, represents a significant step in the New Zealand whisky scene, bringing innovation and quality.
Scapegrace Revenant Limited Release III is a whisky that stands out for its uniqueness and quality.
Suitable for collectors and enthusiasts looking for new sensory experiences, it represents an excellent example of innovation in the whisky sector on a global level.
