The 10-Year-Old Cask Strength Batch 10 perfectly illustrates Billy Walker's expertise in wood and cask management, the result of his 50 years of experience and his passion for aging.

Distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023 at a full strength of 58.6%.

This single malt benefits from maturation in a carefully selected range of casks: Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry, Rioja casks, and virgin American oak barrels.

This exceptional combination of cask types gives this whisky its unique aromatic complexity.

The GlenAllachie distillery was founded in the 1930s in the verdant Scottish valley of Speyside. Its ownership has been passed down from father to son, making it, to this day, an independent business much loved by whisky fans.

So much so that the GlenAllachie distillery is being hailed as the future legendary distillery of the 21st century, on a par with, and even in competition with, Springbank.

The name GlenAllachie derives from the Gaelic "gleann aileachaidh" and can be translated as "valley of the rocks." Despite its young age (founded in 1967) and some periods of mothballing, the distillery boasts a base of 40,000 casks, carefully selected for the production of this single malt.

A special feature of GlenAllachie whiskies is that pumps are not used to avoid damaging the fermented product and the distillate!

The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Batch 10 Cask Strength is a limited edition from the new distillery.

This rich, bronze-colored malt achieves its spicy, delicate flavors from American oak casks, specifically from the Appalachian Mountains, which have a cooler climate and higher humidity. It pairs with the fruitiness of sherry, the finest Pedro Ximénez sherry.

Billy Walker has outdone himself; he's a true master of barrel aging; his 10-year-old whisky is astonishing!

Tasting Notes:

Color: Amber, coppery.

Aromas: The nose reveals ripe red berries complemented by hazelnuts and heather honey. Notes of orchard fruit blend with cinnamon spice and nuances of gingerbread.

Taste: Dark chocolate dominates the palate, supported by honey and caramelized Demerara cane sugar. Notes of molasses, mocha, and ginger complete this rich and complex profile. The finish reveals pleasantly lingering hints of plum and caramel.
