Reverse Pot-shaped pipe in reverse calabash, black briar

The Talamona Reverse line is an ambitious project: a well-balanced pot-shaped pipe with a reverse calabash-style cooling chamber, crafted from fossilized briar, also known as black briar.

The Reverse Pot in black briar is the result of careful study into both its low, wide shape, spacious bowl, and smoke expansion chamber.

Paolo Croci's flair and creative touch are always evident in Talamona pipes.

Classic or modern, they are carved from the finest, most select fossilized briar, left natural and polished.

Very light and comfortable to handle, in their natural black briar finish, they are very elegant, a classic.

The pot shape allows for a wide chimney, suitable for blended tobaccos, with a good shoulder, insulating against the high temperatures that develop during combustion.

The smoke expansion chamber, called a reverse calabash, cools, dries, and softens the smoke.

The term "reverse calabash" indicates a construction variant of the calabash: it retains the purpose of separating and cooling the smoke but reverses/inverts the arrangement of some elements (e.g., the position of the chamber insert, shank, or section of duct with respect to the outer body), resulting in a different air path that can affect draw, performance, and balance.

There is no single standard: the term describes a construction principle rather than a single shape.

The color of the black mortar briar and the short cylindrical mouthpiece make the Talamona Reverse Pot pipe very elegant, balanced, and with an innate style.
