Peterson Junior Lovat Terracotta silver mounted Fishtail

The Peterson Junior Lovat Terracotta silver-mounted is an extremely compact Irish tobacco pipe, almost a pocket pipe, produced by Peterson since 1945.

Made of light brown briar called Terracotta, it has a straight Lovat shape, with a silver ferrule that stands out and makes this pipe unique.

The Peterson Junior Lovat shape combines the classic Lovat shape with a well-proportioned, short shank that ends with a ferrule and a short saddle-shaped vulcanite fishtail mouthpiece.

The Peterson Junior Lovat Terracotta is a very versatile tobacco pipe: balanced in size, it fits in your pocket, and has a well-proportioned bowl that can accommodate both pipe and cigarette tobacco. It's perfect for one-shots!

Also, despite being a compact pipe, it features the Peterson reservoir system.

Irishman Charles Peterson began producing briar pipes and in 1890 discovered the famous reservoir system.

This is a reservoir in the shank under the bowl that keeps the tobacco dry.

All moisture—this is the goal—is channeled into the reservoir.

Peterson pipes, personally and exclusively handcrafted, are the result of long and painstaking work at the company's headquarters in south Dublin, home to one of the oldest pipe factories in the world: Peterson of Dublin.
