The straight Peterson 86 "Apple" shape combines and reinterprets the classic spherical shape with a short shank that ends in a long, ridged mouthpiece.

Irishman Charles Peterson began producing briar pipes and in 1890 discovered the famous reservoir system.

This is a reservoir in the shank under the bowl that keeps the tobacco dry.

All moisture—this is the goal—is channeled into the reservoir.

This Peterson Deluxe Classica Natural 86 pipe does not have a reservoir system.

Peterson pipes, personally and exclusively handcrafted, are the result of long and painstaking work at their headquarters in south Dublin, home to one of the oldest pipe factories in the world: Peterson of Dublin.

Peterson pipes are characterized by their classic, harmonious shape, elegance, and practicality.

They are carved from the finest, most select briar.

The workmanship of the natural briar is very distinctive, done by hand with a chisel, enhancing the grain of the briar and transforming the pipe's exterior texture into a leather-like material.
