The Marolo Amarone Riserva Aged Grappa is the most noble and sought-after grappa.
The union between two great Italian producers, the famous producer of Amarone wine and the Marolo brothers' Santa Teresa distillery, and the union between two regions, Piedmont and Veneto, at the antipodes of Italy, creates a masterpiece: Marolo Amarone Riserva Grappa.
The Marolo Distillery's Amarone Grappa is obtained using a discontinuous bain-marie distillation system, distilling very fresh pomace, still dripping with wine.
The Marolo Amarone Riserva Grappa is distilled in Piedmont in small steam boilers and then aged in oak barrels.
The pomace of Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes is shipped from Veneto to Piedmont, still dripping with juice, at a controlled temperature over a journey that lasts only one day, to preserve all the aromas and flavors.
The slow distillation by Marolo has given this Amarone grappa a precise yet balanced aroma that expresses the freshness of its pomace.
The flavor is clear and intense, typical of red pomace.
It is smooth and elegant, releasing fruity notes of cherries, blackberries, and dried fruit, with extremely attractive balsamic hints.
Tasting Notes:
Color: Amber.
Aroma: On the nose, pleasant aromas of grapes, vanilla, and cooked fruit.
Taste: It is enveloping and balanced, echoing and continuing the olfactory sensations of candied fruit, vanilla, and chocolate, with a very persistent finish.
The Mjere Negroamaro grappa is best paired with a good Tuscan cigar and dark chocolate.
Ideal as a digestif, this grappa expresses its qualities best when served at room temperature in suitable snifter glasses, thus allowing its aromas to fully unfold.
Perfect for moments of meditation or after a hearty meal, Grappa Marolo Amarone Riserva is a true gem for lovers of Italian spirits.
