The 9-year-old Barolo grappa from the Marolo distillery is the youngest of the aged grappas in the "Anni" series.
The Marolo Barolo grappa, aged for 9 years in small oak and acacia barrels, is made from Nebbiolo pomace from the racking of Piedmontese Barolo.
An aged grappa with intense aromas of dried fruit and sweet spices and a smooth, full-bodied flavor, with spicy aromatic notes and an alcohol content of 50%.
Made with Nebbiolo grapes grown in Barolo, this grappa undergoes an aging process that gives it a unique sensory profile.
Its deep amber color heralds the aromatic power and smoothness that are later revealed during tasting.
It is a dry and austere distillate, free from cloying notes: the aromatic profile is dominated by spices and the aromas of the barrique, oak, and acacia wood.
The pomace arrives at the distillery very fresh, still imbued with all the properties that the distillation process—conducted using stills powered by small steam boilers—will preserve intact and distinct.
Once the production process is complete, the grappa is transferred to small oak and acacia barrels, where it ages for a long period of 9 years before being bottled.
All bottles are numbered, and production is very limited.
A fine, well-crafted bottle, perfect as a gift for friends who are passionate about Piedmontese grappa.
Tasting Notes:
