La Couveé Plaisance 2024 is the most iconic and representative AOC white rum agricole from the La Favorite distillery in Le Lamentin, Martinique.

For La Favorite, this is the creation of a brand new, innovative range of single-variety white rums, made exclusively from blue sugarcane, harvested from single-plots, and this edition is limited to just 8,500 bottles!

La Cuvée Plaisance pays homage to distillery owner Franck Dormoy's desire to explore new rum combinations.

A small field, a corner of four hectares hidden behind the distillery, dedicated to the cultivation of the prized Canne Blue, indigenous to Martinique, variety B69.566, harvested at peak ripeness.

La Favorite Plaisance rum is a single-varietal white agricultural rum from Martinique, distilled in July 2024 exclusively from rosé sugarcane variety B69.566.

Blue sugarcane is a native and ancestral variety of Martinique, delicate yet rich in aromas and very sweet.

After a slow and careful fermentation process, this variety is carefully distilled in a majestic copper column, giving life to a limited edition of rare excellence.

This single-varietal brut de cask is left to age for 9 months in steel barrels and then bottled at 51% ABV.

La Favorite is one of the last independent distilleries in Martinique, along with Neisson, and still distills today using steam-powered machinery dating back to the 1800s.

La Favorite distillery produces rum following the purest of traditional Martinique rum recipes, and in its Couveé Plaisance rum, it keeps the sugar cane types and parcels of origin separate, thus producing single-varietal Millésimés like those used in Champagne or the great red wines of Burgundy.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Transparent.

Aromas: It has great aromatic complexity, with fresh cane notes clearly perceptible, accompanied by hints of white flowers and a touch of citrus.

Palate: A vegetal and refreshing character emerges on the palate, enriched by delicate floral notes and a pleasant acidity. The finish dissolves elegantly, leaving an impression of refined lightness.
