Method and maturation.

Distilled in steam stills and selected from ex-bourbon oak casks and, in some batches, also from sherry casks, Miyagikyo Old Release favors an aging process that preserves its freshness and aromatic complexity.

While not always indicated by age, it is characterized by a maturation that enhances the elegance and purity of the malts.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Intense aromas of green apple, pear, citrus, white flowers, and a light honey; hints of vanilla and cedar from the wood.

Palate: Smooth and rounded, white-fleshed fruit, caramelized pear, biscuity notes, and delicate spices.

Finish: Medium-long, clean, with fruity aftertaste and a subtle mineral/salty note.
